It seems as though whenever I restart my computer (27" iMac 2010) that I have to go into where the hard drive is located and manually click on the MBL hard drive to get it to be accessible.
Any way to automatically log on to it?

if you mean mapping the drive
you can do this
Go > connect to server > smb://mybooklive > connect as guest
then you can go to preference and check the connected servers box to appear on the desktop
however, you still need to click on the drive to see its content
Ok, I connected as a guest at the place you mentioned.
However I’m not clear on the next part…

I understand I need to click on the drive to see/read/write its content.
My problem was that whenever I restarted my iMac, unless I went and accessed the MyBookLIve first, I could not load the iTunes music library.
