I cannot find my software anywhere for My Passport external drive. From briefly reviewing the online owner’s manual I cannot retrieve anything without the software. But I can’t find my software. Is there a way to download from WD site or is it somewhere on the external hard drive? Please help!

If you used Smartware to make your backup, you can download it from the following link. You could also explore the Passport and look for the smartware.swstor folder, inside this folder you will see all your files. Check below for the Smartware download link and for the steps to retrieve your backup using Smartware.
