HOW TO install apps (dropbox etc) and access to web broswer

HI

The WDTV SMP seems a good device, but use interface is very limited. I bought a WDTV gen3, but a bit disappoinged with its options. I want to access to dropbox and web broswer, because most of my online media is streaming directly from theit web sites, noy from things alike youtube. I really wish I can have access some applications by myself. This OS is a linux variant, it should be capable to do so.

closest you’ll get is WDLXTV has a very early stage alpha

but even then, you’re not going to easily install apps

  1. MIPS, you’ll probably have to compile everything yourself

  2. the gui is closed source asembler
