How to Connect USB Drive to Back of EX4

Hi there, I’d like to connect a 4TB WD drive via USB to the back of my EX4 so I can pull filles from one to the other.
I’ve connected the external drive and tried to map the drivce on my network buit the network doesn’t “see” the external drive.

I’ve searched for a tutorial and I see a dashboard in the manual but I’m not sure where to access that dashboard.
