How often do I need the activation code?

I have activated my Cloud mirror in the my Cloud app - works fine - but after several months suddendly the app stopps working, and I have to re-activate the same Cloud device again.
After how many days does this happen? Can I influence the inverval through any Settings? Is there a way to get a notification upfront?
It’s very annoying if this happens while you are on the road…and Need a certain document.
Is an admin-login possible from remote, to re-generate an activation Code?
