I’m noticing my 8TB HDD is much slower than usual, and I’m wondering if drive health could be the issue. Could bad sectors or wear affect performance, and how can I check for this? Any suggestions or tools for diagnosing the problem would be greatly appreciated!

If your 8TB HDD is slow, bad sectors or wear might be the cause. Use CrystalDiskInfo to check the drive’s health. Run CHKDSK (chkdsk X: /f /r) to find and fix bad sectors. You can also check for errors in Disk Management. If the drive has issues, back up your data and think about replacing it.
