How Can I Use Wdidle3 On A External USB HDD?

I’m running an older computer that is all IDE, and have no sata connections on my motherboard… I cannot start up from usb in my bios, but boot discs will recognize external hard drives that are connected upon boot [such as Acronis Backup software].

I was wondering if there’s anyway to use Wdidle3 by burning it as a boot disc somehow, and use it on my WD Caviar Green 2TB WD20EARS drive while it’s hooked up via usb in my external enclosure?

Please help

i think you should connect it to another computer with sata

normaly it should work fine, but if mess with the firmware because of the usb…
