Before I reinstalled my ASUS zenbook, i set up a password to my wd passport and clicked the check box of remember the password on my laptop on wd security.
After I reinstalled the system of my laptop, I cannot open the wd external hard drive even I installed the wd software first on my laptop. It always says access refuesed.
Questions：
- How can i open my wd passport with keeping all files safe on the external hard drive?
2.If I reset the same password as the first one, can I open my wd passport? If yes, are the files all safe so I can open them or not?
Note: Because the files are so important to me that I don’t want to lose them, I am unwilling to reset the password to see if it does work.
