i have an my cloud 2TB i can not get it to play on my tv cable box
it is an Tivo box that has app on it for certain thing (netflix, plex, you tube)
i down loaded plex on my computer but cannot get it to work with my cloud
any help would be appreciated
Which My Cloud do you have? Is that My Cloud connected to the local network?
The single bay My Cloud units do not officially support Plex. The more expensive My Cloud units like the EX2 and EX4 do support a Plex add-in module. There is discussion on hacking the single bay My Cloud to run Plex, see this thread.
For your Tivo box to play content from the My Cloud would require a DLNA client app/program on the Tivo and for that Tivo device to be connected to your local network.
The My Cloud is a network attached storage device (NAS). It is NOTstrong text designed or capable of being connected to a cable box via USB.
If you have not already done so it is recommended one read the My Cloud User Manual which explains how to use the My Cloud and its features/options.
