Just purchased a Smartware Drive.

1.  Why does the home screen take so long to open ?.  I believe I have now backed up all the required files 

2   Why aren’t the Backup and Retrieve tabs highlighted?

3.  What is the icon in the top left hand corner used for?

 Thanks for any help and further tips re the drive

Why does the home screen take so long to open ?.

The time that takes to open is related to your computer performance…

Why aren’t the Backup and Retrieve tabs highlighted?

Normally that happens when the drive is password protected or is not being detected by the computer

If you are able to see the drive going through my computer, can you please try to copy a file to it?

What is the icon in the top left hand corner used for?

In the top left is the help button.

Bought the drive because the present computer is so slow and is ready for replacement.

Think I understand it better now.
