Recently, I purchased portable hard drive, model WD My Passport Essential 500GB.
After I formatted the hard drive (for the first time), all the folders in the hard drive pre-loaded by the company have been removed. So, my question is, are the folders must not be removed? If it must not be removed, how can I get back all the folders which the company have pre-loaded before?

What drive model do you have exactly? All the folders are available at the Western Digital website. However, if you have the Smartware version the software should be there since is located in a different drive partition.
