Okay I have a 1TB my book live and for some reason the light on the front no longer comes on. (The green/blue light) The drive still worked however but now since moving to a new internet provider the drive isnt recognized. Should I reset the drive? If so how do I do it without losing whats currently on it? Any help would be appreciated.
The LED has probably failed. It’s a fairly common issue on MBLs (One of my two is like that.)
The RESET procedure is documented in the manual; hold the reset button down for four seconds while powered up, then release.
It resets the IP address back to DHCP, and clears the owner password, but leaves data as-is.
