Help with initial setup

I just purchased a new My Cloud EX2 Ultra (8 gig) and have it set up. Out of the box it is mirroring 4 gig which I understand is the standard setup.

I would like to use both drives for storage and hook two WD My Book drives (which I already own) to the USB slots in the back and have the two main drives backup to the dual 4 gig My Book drives. Can anyone point me to a reference resource for this kind of setup?

I’m on Macs if that makes any difference.
