HELP! recover a 80GB formated HD to its original 500GB

Hello,

I have just buy a new computer and I want to install one of my HD from my old computer.

this is a 500GB WD5000AAKB-00H8A0 HD that it was formated as a 80GB HD due to the limitations of the old computer’s BIOS, so the problem I have is that I have to reasign and format this HD to its original 500GB and Idon’t know how to do it.

I have no jumper installed, and I have tried to solve it with HDD regenerator and similar programs.  

Anyone know how to do it??

you should be able to delete the partition, and reformat, when you start installing the operating system.  if you need any data on the drive before wiping it, I’d get it off first.

Write Zeroes with the Western Digital DLG, this should clean the drive and you will be able to star from scratch.
