Good afternoon. My external harddrive is giving me problems, 3 days ago I transfered some movies from computer to external harddrive, then our power went off, after 4 hours it came on again, so I tried it agan but when I plugged in the harddrive to usb port, the harddrive just making a sound and my computer does not pick it… I brought it in March 2013 and warrany is in 2015 I think… What can I do???
If the power went off while the drive was in use it may be corrupt. Something likeTestDisk http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk might fix it if the drive shows in Disk Management.
