HDD-diagnosis WinDlg problem

I wanted to check my WD-drive and tried to install the Diagnosis tool from WD: WinDlg

I did as instructions said:

  • Download the Windows Data Lifeguard Diagnostics, WinDlg_v1_28.zip
  • Extract and run the program, WinDlg.exe. If running Windows Vista (or later), you will need to Right-Click on the WinDlg.exe file and choose to Run As Administrator.
  • Read and accept the license agreement to continue.

but as soon as I hit the “next”-button after acknowledgement of license agreement, the programm crashes.

My system: Win7 64bit.

Somebody else experiencing problems?

Hi Lefty1, welcome to the WD Community. Be sure to extract the files first. If the problem continues, try right clicking on the DLG.exe file, select properties and the on the Compativility tab select Windows Vista or XP.
