HD Issues - help

My WDTV Live is having an increasing number of issues lately…

I have a 1 TB WD MyBook directly attached via USB.  My setup has worked flawlessly for a long time.  However, in the last few weeks, the drive is not being recognized without a restart or powering off of the wdtv live.  Now, in the last couple of days, while watching a video, I get the error that that no drive is present.  Frustrating.

[I have run chkdsk on my harddrive and have confirmed that the drive is running fine with no issues]

Any idea why this is happening, and more importantly, how to remedy this situation?  Thx.

I had the same problem with my hard drive ( Seagate Go Flex ), so after reading somewhere on this forum that a person sometimes deletes the Wdtv folder because it somehow gets corrupted I deleted mine. I connected my hard drive to my computer and run a check with no errors showing. Connected back to Wdtv and everything worked fine. Maybe it is worth deleting the Wdtv folder every so often.
