My son wants me to buy a hauppauge device so he can record his minecraft gameplay to upload on youtube.
I noticed on my WD TV Live Hub it has Hauppauge. I’m not tech savvy at all. Can someone tell me if this is something I can somehow make work?

The hauppauge service on the player is all to do with live TV. It only operates with a select few hauppauge USB adaptors and I don’t believe any of them record game play.

What “Device” is your son playing Minecraft on ??
He plays on both PC and xbox
PC video capture eg. Camstudio (see minecraft forum)

XBOX360 HD Video Capture (i personally own this, works great)
Thanks Joey I’m going to check it out now.
On PC, use program for recording.
My son uses Razer Game Booster.

It can also take screenshots, and show FPS. furthermore it optimizes some settings on the computer, when starting games all by itself.
Regards.
I wish they would allow it to work with my Hauppauge HD DVR Pro 2. My current software seems to have compatibility issues with the WD TV Live hub…it would be nice if I could just record right to it and get rid of the compatibility issues.
