Generally there is no need to download the first version of the v2.x firmware when unbricking a second gen v2.x single bay My Cloud. After performing the various unbrick steps and then loading the Web-Gui (recovery mode) page in a web browser one would typically upload the latest WD v2.x .bin firmware file.
