I have a GSafe 1tb storage device that wont mount on a Mac Book Pro. I used to use it on an older mac tower and wanted to mount it on my mac book pro which is a mac Book Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013) with a usb 3.0 port. I’m using a 2.0 USB cable but nothing seems to mount. Anyone know what might be the issue ? or any advice ?
The device should still work just fine with a USB 3.0 port on your Mac. The only thing that might be holding back support would be the MAC OS version. The G-SAFE was production stopped back during 10.6.8 so a new OS might not be able to see the drives.
