Giving up letting the drive go to sleep

I never had an issue with the drive sleeping. But lately it wakes every 15 min or so. I just turned off the Sleep mode VIA the dashboard. How long will a WD green drive last? I have all my data backed up to a seagate 4tb USB drive that I eject when im done backing up.

I have not looked at my systems for a few days. They are not sleeping as they did previously. It turns out that the root partition was mounted without -These two options -noatime and -nodiratime cause the disk to be written rather often. The following command will correct this issue.

mount -o remount,noatime,nodiratime /dev/root /

RAC
