Hi.  I have a WD My Book Essential Edition EHD and I reformatted it to NTFS like WD recommended on its website. 

I just bought a WD TV Live and connected it to my EHD and TV with an HDMI cable.  I do not have wireless or a network.

I selected Local Drives and then All Pictures and it just sits there.  Nothing happens. 

Is this because I reformatted the EHD?  Am I going to be able to use it now?

You can ignore this question now.  I found my answer on another post.  Seems I wasn’t ejecting the drive correctly.  Thank you, cjeman, for your answer to the “Problem with USB Connecting”  post by bjorn333.
