Hi! I have a 2014 Macbook Pro running OS X 10.12.5 with a Akitio Thunder Sata Go. Is there anyway to access the G-Speed ES configuration utility? If not how do I configure the drives? Any help would be appreciated.
The G-Speed ES will only work if attached to a supported RAID controller card via eSATA. These are only supported on desktop Mac systems and Windows desktops with the Highpoint RocketRAID 2314 or 644L cards.
So even though I can see the drives and use it there is no way to get in to the configurator?
The configurator requires installing the software that can only manage the device if attached via the correct RAID controller. You are seeing the drive basically as a pass-through without RAID capabilities.
