Hello. I need two Thunderbolt 3 connected external drives, each 8 TB (for Mac). Can I use a 16 TB G-RAID for this purpose, using them as two separate 8 TB drives (no RAID)? This would seem to be the cheaper option. Or is there something that I am missing… and I’d be better off with two G-DRIVES? Thanks.
You could do the process with either options. Using the G-RAID saves you on cables/connections to the computer and space. But you can’t separate the drives physically as they would need to remain in the enclosure.
