G-RAID 2 8TB Won't Initiate or Read

I just received an 8TB replacement drive (for one that had a faulty fan.)
Model #SDPH62H-008T-NBAAD

I plugged into my iMac via USBc to USB cord provided.

The drive does not mount … Forum posts say to try erasing the drive first thing. This didn’t work in Mac OS Extended (journaled) or the default APFS format.
Both times I used the default Scheme - GUID Partition Map
No worky, what next?..
