G drive mobile thunderbolt. TB not working, usb working

Hi,
After disk format with Mac OS disk utility the thunderbolt connection is not working. The led lights up when connected but the disk doesn’t start spinning and is not recognised. With the usb connection works perfectly. Any idea of what could be the problem?

Have you tried using any other USB cable. You may follow the given article.
