I purchase the G-Drive for my New Mac Mini (equipped of usb3 and thunderbolt2 ports ) and I will plug in to the USB 3 port; but can I also plug in to the Thunderbolt 2 port with an Apple adapter Thunderbolt 3 to T2? In this case performances may better?

You will need to chose one or the other but you will get the same performance out of either of the connections.
