G-Drive has not backed up all my folders and files

I did a “spot check” for my peace of mind and was unable to locate certain folders and files in the directory paths that I believed G-Drive was backing up. YIKES! Any clue why the paths/ folders/files on G-Drive drive doesn’t look EXACTLY like my MacBook? This backup is useless if it isn’t saving all my files. Thanks in advance for any advice on what I need to do so I can trust this nifty little drive.
