I have 4 G-Drive ArmorLock 4 TB external SSDs. I bought them in 2021. Two of them have failed in the last month. WD is honoring the warranty, which I appreciate. I just wonder if other people are having a similar experience.
I have just been “presented” with this issue. It’s a Sandisk Professional G-Drive ArmorLock 4TB SSD. It simply “disappeared” from my Mac Studio monitor. Tech couldn’t find it either. He tried to copy the data all weekend…but he says the “problem” copied over too. He saying it will be $500-$1000 from a retreival company somewhere…if they can get it. What will WD/Sandisk do about this? Anything…or is my entire library of raw video data up in smoke. SOOOOO FRUSTRATING.
I found a data recovery app for a lot less than that and it is working to retrieve data from my now 3 failed Sandisk Professional G-Drive ArmorLock 4TB SSDs. EaseUS Data Recovery.
