Hello,
I am leaning towards that it may be the power adapter from reading the post here.

  • Tried different outlets = nojoy
  • Tried plugging into different pc’s {windows / mac} =nojoy
  • Tried both thunderbolt and usb 3.0 port on my macbook = nojoy
    In all the situations, LED is not flashing or any sound from the HD spooling up - as if there is no power.

With this particular drive in order for it to power on it has to be plugged in with AC + an active data connection to a computer or else it will not get power at all.

If you have made sure you had it attached to a computer at the same time as having the AC attached and it still won’t turn on then it could be a hardware issue with the device. Under warranty you can get a replacement drive via our site here: RMA
