hi, I recently soldered to my wd sentinel dx4000 and accidentally melted my ribbon cable for the front panel containing the power button. if possible could someone send a link to a replacement cable or the pinout for the connector j13 so I can short the pins to make a power button myself?

Get the number of conductors and width/lenght and hit up Digikey.com or Mouser.com . Length wont matter, as long as its the same or longer. Can order one with more conductors and trim at both ends. Can also use really thin wire and just jump it easily. WD will not have parts for this unit as it is End Of Life. Might hit up ebay for a defective or cheap unit also!
