Forgot Username/Password of Administrator Account-WD DX4000

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately I’ve forgotten the Username/Password of my WD Sentinel DX4000.
How can I reset the password?
Also, let me know how can i perform fresh installation of the windows server OS on the hardware?

Hello, you can perform a system recovery on the unit which will reset the password of the drive and will reset the unit back to factory. You can choose to keep the data or to delete the information of the drive.

Take a look at the item in the manual called “Recovering the WD Sentinel Server” which is on page 50.
