Hello there,

I have a My Passport Ultra drive on wich I have set a password with auto unlock option (for my pc and user.)

I’m able to access it since auto unlock is working on my PC . Now I want to change/remove my password but I have forgotten the current one.

Is there an option to reset the current one or remove it?

I have tried formatting the drive. It didnt help !

If you put the incorrect password in a few times, it should give you the option to factory reset the drive if I remember correctly. That will remove the password, but it will also totally blank the drive.

So if you still have access via the PC, you should be able to use that to extract the data from the drive and then reset everything.
