Folder disappeared/erased on its own

Hello,

A subfolder of a Share suddenly disappeared; it really looks like it was erased but I am very sure I did not, I couldn’t find any trace of it even in the RecycleBin.

It mainly contained video files for about 2TB, all the other folder in that same share are still there!

Well, if the free space also increased by 2TB, then it was deleted. Not much can be done.

They won’t be in your PC’s recycle bin; they’ll be in the NAS’s, but only if you enabled that function.

Yes, the free space increased by the size of the disappeared folder and the bin I checked is the one in the NAS.

I figured there’s not much to do but I’d like to know how it happened and if the same happened to someone else, if it’s something I’ve done or just WD EX4 isn’t a safe place to keep data.
