My wireless broke with 1.04.17 too. I rolled it back and noticed when I was about to rol it back, it said the version was updating to 2.03.49, not 1.03.49. This version number comes from the ver file in the download. This is how the device is tricked into thinking it is an upgrade. If you leave the rollback firmware plugged in, it installs 1.03.49, then it senses it has something newer (2.03.49) or 1.04.10 from the netwok. Remove the usb with the rollback firmware.
