I initiated an update to my firmware yesterday. It appears to still be “updating.” I have no access to the drive, so I really don’t know what it’s doing.
Via the chat line, I’m told to just keep waiting. Seems a crazy amount of time for a firmware update. Any thoughts?
That just means the device is hanging on its reboot to complete the firmware update. If a process doesn’t shut down correctly the device will just sit waiting forever. Someone at its location needs to restart it manually.
