what kind of file indexing are we talking about?? Devices are new! Empty! Nowhere is this written! That’s horrible…
This happened! I installed the included HDD (2*2tb) at 22:30 on Monday. Made a reset and forgot about this box. Today (Thursday) at 10:30 it re-downloaded 209 mb and stopped showing the blinking light. The device has been added to the application and is working. Check for yourself!
The OTA update routine doesn’t take into account whether the device is new, it just waits between major updates (eg. Android to Debian) so that those who have populated data can catch up. This was a one time deal as it is unlikely the OS will change from Debian going forward.

my mycloud mirror is now indexing since the update to os 5 (this is actually 2 years now)
since the update mycloud could not be used anymore.
the small one (mycloud) runs smoothly
