Maybe before doing a Rollback … try what the user did, let it reboot cycle … and go away for an hour or so ?  

But,If you do decide to rollback … i also would advise to do a Factory Reset through the UI

  Setup > System > Device Reset > Reset All Settings Back to Factory Default
