I have a 1TB G-Drive (S/N1V3P0AYM)
Is it possible to use the FireWire x USB adapter to attach the G-Drive to a USB on an older MacPro (2009) with only USB interfacerunning El Capitan 10.11.6?
There is no way to adapter FW to USB.
The older G-Drive itself has its own USB connection so you can just attach it from the drive to the computer using the USB cable that came with the drive.
Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, my G-Drive doesn't have a USB connection. THere are 2 FireWire connections plus a 3rd slot of some kind, but it's not a USB connector -- what's it for?
