File formats for Working Menus & 1080?

Looking to use Pinnacle Studio 14 to create HD videos from all of the movies I’ve taken over the past few years.  Love that the Hub can play DVD formats and retain menu functionality.   But what to do in HD??  Is there a supported video format that can support menus while maintaining High Def?

Supposedly the Hub supports BDMV menus, but I don’t know how they’re created…
