File Explorer Hangs After Plugging In

I have a 2016 WD Element drive that works perfectly for my old laptops (Windows and Mac).

But when I plug it into a new Windows 11 laptop that was made in 2022, the load bar on File Explorer goes very slowly and it will be like that for as long as 5 minutes before erroring out saying that it cannot access the drive.

The drive shows up in File Explorer without showing any of the details (storage and etc.).

Could you tell me what could be the cause and how I should try to debug this?

(The same issue occurs for my desktop that was bought in 2019 as well).
