Here is my story:

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3200+
Mem: 2 GB Kingmax, Memtest OK
VGA: Radeon 9600
PSU: HKC USP3430
OS: XP SP3
Mobo: SATA 1.5Gb/s, RAID 0,1,JBOD, SATA HDD Hotplug
VIA Sata Controller - 3149
Driver Version: 7.0.7000.294, 2009. 08. 13.
1 : 500 GB - WD5000AAKS - SATA Rev. 2.6 - system
2 : 1 T - WD10EADS - SATA Rev. 2.5
active UDMA 6 and 6, jumpered to 1.5Gb/s

write speeds from Hard Disk Sentinel: ~
DVD → 1 : 20MB/s OK
DVD → 2 : 20MB/s OK
1 → 1 : 40 MB/s OK (at first look)
2 → 2 : 40 MB/s OK
2->1 : ~70 MB/s OK
1->2 : speed drops errors appear, but files go through
again:
DVD → 1 : 5MB/s active UDMA = 0 at hdd 1.
DVD → 2 : 20MB/s OK
In Event Viewer:
- Event ID: 11 disk
The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk1\D.
- Event ID: 5 atapi
A parity error was detected on \Device\Ide\IdePort1.
- Event ID: 51 disk
An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\D during a paging operation.
11 mostly, some 5 and 51

The SMART 199 “Ultra ATA CRC error count” increases every time.
Every other SMART value OK
Restart, UDMA changes back and works fast again.
Copy from DVD same speed etc, but the error comes again at 1->2
Now with external USB hdd:
USB → 1 : 30 MB/s OK
USB → 2 : 30 MB/s OK
2 → USB : 23 MB/s OK
1 → USB : 23 MB/s errors again, active UDMA changes to 5
1 → 1 : error comes here also, o.0, in this case copy on same partition
So I get error when copy:
1->2 : errors come from the start of copy
1->1 : relative very rarely, 6-12GB±/error
Hdd 1 tested with DLD quick and extended, PASS, and no error events.
I have 3 sata cables, tried to change, and changed ports, but not helped.
So whats wrong? Hdd, driver, cable?
2->1 is good, but what generates the errors backwards?
