Fan not working error

My new EX4100 is currently displaying a ‘Fan not working’ error. I have shut the system down. What should I do next?

I’d recommend performing a factory reset, then a system test:

If you still encounter the same error message then your unit should be replaced.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, not wishing to cause possible overheating damage by running the system for extended periods, I made enquiries to WD Support. They arranged an RMA and replacement under warrantee. The enclosure has been packaged and posted off.
