FAN is RUNNING BUT IT GIVES FAN ERROR

My EX2 ULTRA’s fan is running perfectly, but it gives critical error 20 which is fan is not running error.

I reset the device,
returned to factory settings,
disassambled the battery for a while (while unplugged do dc source)
tried another 3 pin fans

nothing changed,

what should i do ?

This was a known bug under OS3 firmware and has been an issue with my box from day one, when it was running on OS3. I had hoped moving to OS5 would solve it but no. This is an old thread where other people have the same problem, and their “work arounds”. Question regarding the FAN used by WD My Cloud EX2

It’s about time WD sorted this.

If your still under warranty I would return the box, but there are no guarantees the replacement won’t have the same issue.
