thanx for the info, but i’m not covered by a W D warranty…i got this as part of an hp oem about 4 years ago or so. i only posted here so i could hopefully find out what the error code meant, i’m having a hard time figuring out just what is really wrong with this **bleep** thing. CHKDSK says everything is fine, no probs, BUT PROBLEMS ABOUND!!lately, my system file index is always corrupt no matter what i do…i’ve clean installed windows 7 4 times in the last 3 weeks, wrote zeros to entire drive using the "format c: /fs: NTFS /p:2 " command line- even used the tried and true BOOT & NUKE by D-ban so i was guarenteed no baggage after thi win 7 install, but right out of the gate, corrupt system index…oh well, thanx for everything
