FAIL on Day One: Error 2300 "Event title:Exceeded share directory monitor resource limit"

I’ve searched this forum for this truly absurd situation – a limit on the number of files/folders??  What kind of byzantine system is this?  I fear refund is next after my hopes were high.  Has anyone found an NAS drive that works as intended?

IS THERE A RESOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE?   All posts/threads I’ve found end unresolved.  The WD seams are showing.
