External WD drive recognizes but doesn't mount / Access from MAC or PC

Hi,

Seems to be a well known issue. I have little hope compared to others.

In my case, I can run Repair and Verify disk cleanly. It comes green.

But just doesn’t mount the disk / access the disk from MAC.

After spinning for 5 min it goes to sleep mode.

In my case…

Every thing was working fine and when I take a latest backup it started spinning and suddently say Disk is ejected.

Nothing is unplugged neither Power went out. Suddenly it decided to not to work.

I am not sure what is the solution here?

can you please provide the drive’s model number?

If your drive is pre formatted on NTFS you will have to format it on mac in oder to have to work on your mac, allow me to share a link, if that’s the case
