When I back up my computer with the Essentails external drive can I remove the content from my computer with out it effecting the backed up file in the Essentials Book?
I need to alleviate space on my computer and I need to be able to move a folder or a hierarchy of folders to a portable device. What are the best alternatives to achieve these goals?
If you want to remove something from your computer, you will want to keep two copies of the file (one as the “original” and one as the “backup”) in different locations. If you are backing up to your essential, store your data on a different external (I recommend an Elements drive or a My Book 3.0 since you won’t need backup software with it)
