In disk management, a My Passport drive is
listed as read only and I can’t transfer files to it. Right-click does not bring
up as online option,. In properties, full access is checked under everyone.
Also, a pass word menu came up when first hooked up to a W7 computer. I need
full access to the hard drive.
try going into Device Manager and delete the driver, disconnect the drive, reboot system then reconnect the drive. That should load a fresh driver.

Uninstall of the driver did not work. Tried changing the owner under the security tab but cant, as it says write protected drive.
