EX4100 - Creating a Second Volume

I have an EX4100 in Raid 5. Over time I’ve upgraded the capacity of the HDDs. They’re not all the same size so I can’t just expand the volume. Instead I decided to create a new volume, volume_2. I walked through all the steps and the device began to do it’s thing. That was three days ago. The drive lights are still flickering like mad, but I can no longer access the GUI. Is this normal behavior? The front panel is Volume 2 is formatted.
